12 Volt Battery longevity?
How long will the 12 volt Battery last? Typically in ICE cars, the battery needs to be replaced after 3-4 years. Same here?

EV 12V batteries experience no cranking load, and the DC-DC converter can run any time, so I suspect the 12V battery will be in its happy place much longer. Less wear and tear, so maybe a bit longer life out of it?

That depends on the type of battery. 12V batteries comes as lead acid, AGM and lithium. The latter two are what's used most commonly these days. AGM more so than lithium. Not sure what the EQE uses. AGM is 4-7 years and lithium 5-10 years. How it's being charged is part of it, but also the environment. Batteries don't like hot temperatures for example.

With less heat and probably less vibration, one would think this would be a good setup for the battery to last a long time. About a year ago, I pulled a 10 year old OEM battery out of my 2008 CL that was still functioning. FWIW, my Jaguar I Pace went through two in four years of ownership, but that car had lots of problems.

EQE uses lead-acid AGM. But because it stays near fully charged and doesn't get very strong loads, I'd suspect it'll last a while. But we'll see!
