Energy costs and maintenance

It's been a year since I bought my AMG EQEX4 and I traded in my E63S wagon. I've been comparing what my expenditures would have been for the Wagon vs the SUV for the equivalent mileage to date:

2021 E63s vs. 2024 EQEX4
Fuel. - $1341 ($4.05/gal) Energy - $277 ($.12/KWH)
A3 Service - $730. Service - $ 0
Insurance - $1645 Insurance - $1704
NC Highway Electric Vehicle charge - $180
--------------------------- ----------------------
$3716 vs.$2511 (Including the one-time charger installation)

Savings: $1205

The savings do add up even when I include the cost of the L2 charger installation! It would have been larger if I had driven more this year. The forward view on the E63S would have been $1350 for the B2 service vs. the A2 service at $0 for the EQEX4. The E63S would have needed tires at $1500 vs the EQE4 at $2100.

We're saving $300-400/month in fuel costs. We generate our own power with PV, which of course is a huge help in the energy costs, but even paying for electricity it'd be about $50-80/month total between the two cars.

Good savings, the EV would weigh more though, no? So the tires will be used quicker?

The E63S ate PS/4 tires! The EQEX4 is yielding 5000 miles / 2 mm tread wear so i should get another 8000 miles before I see 4mm tread depth. The wagon weighed 4750 lbs so no lightweight.
