2027 AMG EQE SUV

FYI, apparently, the rumors of its demise were greatly exaggerated! The next generation of this vehicle will feature the new EV 800V platform, charging ports on both rear quarter panels, higher-performance, more efficient motors, etc. The charging ports feature both the NACS (DC charging) and J1772 (A/C charging). Stay tuned!

Thanks!

That's music to my ears!

Curious now when the switch from MY26 to MY27 will happen in regards to placing a factory order. It's great news anyways. You either get an updated version or potentially even higher discounts on an already great vehicle.

The change of a model year is finite. Your dealer will know when the order banks open for 2027.

Do you know if the charging port changes will be included on the 2027 EQE Sedan (V295)?

I would imagine this car will be a GLE AMG for EQ Power

The profile looks like the current 2026 SUV. The MB document that I originally read has been pulled, but it documented the various tiers for 2027 models. The GLC400 with EQ was also listed in the document as a separate offering.

Thanks for the link.
Despite "Mercedes" being in the title, I have to say that the vehicle doesn't look very "Mercedes-like" to my untrained eye. All the creases and bends in the metal body remind me of Toyota. BUT...the recessed door handles certainly look like real EQ!

Well, the original article describes the new headlights as narrower, and the car in the video seems to have that feature. I also believe the sheet metal is being tweaked to look more like a traditional SUV, which is also consistent. Let's see what develops.

I had that happen to me. I ordered a 2023 but due to parts shortages the car was not built until the factory had converted over to the 2024 model. The basic options and packages remained the same, but the details inside the packages changed a bit. For example, I got the heat pump and front motor clutch introduced in the 2024 model year, and the Mercedes me radio was upgraded from LTE-Advanced (4G) to a 5G radio. So your order is straight converted to the later model year assuming the packages and options are still available, and you get all the model year upgrades. The heat pump and front clutch were significant improvements, and the later generation cellular system means the car should be able to connect for a lot longer. (My SLK outlived the cellular service it was built with - the car 2G system still worked, but that generation cellular service was discontinued by the carriers to free up spectrum for later generation services.)

Also, one feature that had been standard in 2023 but optional in 2024 was kept, so I received that option.

Interesting!

Considering that the vehicle in the video was still undergoing some testing two months ago (assuming the material was posted shortly after filming), I don't think we will see the introduction of MY27 within the next 6 months. I'm about 3 months away from placing my order so I think it's going to be a MY26 which is totally fine with me. Looking at the current AMG EQE SUV, there is nothing that I truly wish I had but doesn't.
