This is the dashboard that I like. The only thing left is the price. Oh, I hope the U.S version will get the 400 mile range.

According to media.mbusa.com, the USA is going to be getting the EQE 350, so likely be up to 660 KM that Mercedes mentioned during the announcement. So direct conversion would be around 410 miles. Unless US regulations affects it but I don't think so? So I guess you should be expecting that type of range under normal circumstances when it arrives on American soil.

Edit: Looks like media.mercedes-benz.ca stated the range is at 545-660 KMs so about 338 to 410 miles, I am hoping MBCA has taken account to the harsh winters Canada gets for this range estimate, I don't see how MBUSA will be significantly different so these are the numbers you should be expecting.

Do you know what material is used for the MB star design pattern replacing the area the hyperscreen will otherwise be? How come it looks like paper and just a drawing printed off a computer from the image you shared (obviously they wouldn't). I guess because of the lighting or the fact this is a pre-production model.

The EU numbers are based on the WLTP system however, the EPA is generally lower, however as seen with Porsche, the car could still get closer to the WLTP rating. I beleive the manufacturers actually get a range of ratings from the EPA and choose which one, Tesla chooses the maximum range from the most perfect test conditions, whereas Porsche chose one of their lower ratings from various testing conditions. I still think the EPA could make things much simpler by presenting city/hwy/combined range similar to gas because MPGe is very confusing.

They are backlit so I think the lighting of the autoshow affected the images. The EQS also features this trim (as pictured with AMG-Line Interior below), I imagine the EQE will feature similar trim options to what is on the EU configurator.

Hopefully, but given it is "advertised" as an E-Class, it might still make sense that the material used is not as premium as the S-Class to offset the cost.

Agree, although I was shocked that the Hyperscreen was available on the EQE so I'm sure it will receive some similar trim elements albeit probably not all. I think the light up star pattern is probably the best fit as it looks nicely spaced out as compared to the wood patterns are which a bit much in that large of an open space.

Found a video:
Strange, different angles of that section still looks like paper to me. I wonder if you can option different trims (as in colour or material) as well based on that "star" design.

Agree, other than leg room or want the top of the line, there are less reasons to get the EQS not to mention the EQE looks better. I guess another reason to get the EQS is so you get a fastback for better practicality but at the same time, you lose some headroom so...

I think the EPA number would be 88% of the WLTP. So the EPA rating for the US would be ~ 360 mile range. Just my guesstimate.

Would you mind posting the particular youtube video? I assume they were likely making a guestimate, I imagine it will likely be a little higher than the standard RWD E350 which is roughly $55k.

That would be good but I will believe it when I see it.

I'm sorry, I don't remember which clip . Please search if you have the time. The price quote was not reasonable. $65K would make more sense.

Here's the clip from you tube.
At the end of the clip it says $65K not $55K.
I apologize for the misquote.

The EQS pricing was revealed today and is very much similar or even slightly lower than the equivalent S-Class model. Could mean the EQE will fair similarly.

Don’t know how true this statement is but was told by the sales manager at my dealer the EQS when available in Canada will retail at about $175,000.00.

Sorry for being confused but I thought the price of the EQS 580 was already official on MB Canada's site, starting at $146,500 (it was $144,200 so it went up) Unless the price your dealership quoted you is the price including their ADM.

Are you talking about the AMG version?
