Wow, it's a bit expensive as expected. I was hoping for $65K to $70K starting price. I would wait to see how well they will sell.

Probably in Germany only. MB seems to think they can get away with giving the USA the B-Grade stuff. I'm done with MB.

I was at the dealer yesterday. Nothing so far. They do expect Hyperscreen to be available on the 500 for about a $7000 option price. With HUD, I may make-do with the standard cluster. Just to be sure about my decision, after driving the BMWiX and giving up on the delayed Polestar 3, I dropped by Genesis to drive the GV70 EV. Shockingly nice for much less price. A bit smaller rear seat, but I could still sit behind myself OK (6'2") and held the same amount of my "test" full-size luggage. Not an MB, but they did an excellent job.

Genesis is pretty nice, but a few things put me off.
There is no wireless CarPlay, and that narrow screen probably does not work well with CarPlay.
I hope they improved their driver assistance system as the Hyundai/Genesis scored the lowest for performance in Consumer Reports ranking this year, as it tended to ping pong between lanes marker.
The lack of factory hitch and air suspensions are also deal breakers for me.

This is what makes a community like this interesting and educational. The items you shared are not on my radar at all. I avoid Car Play based on having/trying it previously, any kind of ADAS/driver assistance, don't need a hitch, and find air suspension of no value and made me "seasick" on the EQE test drive. Other than that, WE AGREE! LOL!

2023 EQE 500 SUV electric and 2024 Jaguar F-PACE SVR 5.0L
I traded a Hyundai Kona in for a Genesis GV80 and the GV80 in on my EQE SUV. Consumer Reports must be smoking crack. Driver assistance is one of the best on the markets. Drives itself straight as an arrow. What sux is theiir service. Check out my former hangout for testimonials: https://genesisowners.com/

I will say that Mercedes' systems seems less like a "nanny" though. Blind spot warning beeps twice then stops and if you drift out of your lane it doesn't beep at all, just vibrates the wheel and changes the mood light to red on that side. The Genesis beeps and beeps and then beeps some more. The built-in navigation system (by MapNSoft) also sux on the Genesis but I liked their radio better (you can actually enter a station frequency and turn it OFF, not just mute it).
