EQE US Sales

Mercedes sold 384 EQEs in the US in Q4 2022:

https://media.mbusa.com/releases/mer...-sales-q4-2022

Surprised considering it's still pretty hard to find them on lots. Autotrader shows maybe 700-800 available right now.

Also nice to see EQS numbers at 4,339 and 10,365 YTD. Hopefully that means production constraints are easing.

EQE 350+
I just bought an EQE 350+ last week from a dealership in Northern California. It was a model in the showroom. They had several EQEs, but only one with pinnacle trim. They estimated builds to take 3-6 months.

When will the EQE SUV be available? Can it be ordered yet? Sorry if this is already discussed another thread.

Orders can be placed with your dealer but allocations have not been allotted yet.

EQE 350+
Same experience for me, I bought an EQE305+ at the end of November in Souther California. Dealership had a car, which was pretty basic, but another one showed up when we were there and ended up getting that.
It seems like most dealership in Southern California have at least a few ones available in the lot.

I don't know about that. Netstar, the dealer configurator and ordering tool is what I use.

That reference may have been from me. You really need to use the configurator in your home-country market, however. There are SOOOO many things that vary, including: base configuration, options MB makes available in that local, taxes, local laws and transport safety regulations, etc.
Nevertheless, while waiting for the EQE SUV to become available on the configurator in Sweden, I found it interesting to look at the configurators in other countries just to learn. Some have more detail and info about an option than others.
You can experiment, as I did:
Mercedes-benz.se
Mercedes-benz.dk
Mercedes-benz.no
Mercedes-benz.com
Mercedes-benz.co.uk
Mercedes-benz.it
Mercedes-benz.de (of course!)
etc.

You may have to use a VPN to access some. And, Google Translate may come in handy...

which country are you in? Here in the US, you can put a deposit in with a dealer but Mercedes hasn’t opened up orders. Estimated release is spring 2023 (so March to May). I have started to see the short videos on YouTube show up in the last 24-48 hours. That may not mean much, but it could also mean that some review videos may be coming soon

I’m in Louisiana. I’m going to stop by a dealer and look at the EQS, EQS SUV and EQE but I think I will wind up wanting the EQE SUV. From the reviews I’ve read the back of the sedans are not that large and the trunk of the EQE sedan isn’t that big. The E SUV is the better option.

For me, the EQS is out of budget, and need something bigger than the EQE sedan. All indications are that the EQE SUV will be the volume seller. You can also ask your dealer for the order guide. Two dealers have shared it with me, so I know it exists

EQE
Purchased an EQE 350 4Matic 8 days ago, was available at local dealership at KC. I have called few dealers and there are quite a few available mostly in California. I have driven it for a week now and I absolutely love it. Don't think will go back to ICE. Its not the exact spec I would order but it was available and they gave me a great deal on my trade in about 3K more than any other offer I've had.
Installed the acceleration increase yesterday ($1200 per year, sad that we have to pay to unlock the motor potential but totally worth it) and boy is this car fast now, it's a huge difference. Range is excellent. Quick to charge at home on level II. If you are trying to decide I would say go for it.
The dealer, as most other dealers I have called, sold it me at MSRP - $7500 instant tax credit. Free 2 yrs of charging at electrify America and free first service which is due in 2 years.

Congrats and nice on the tax credit. It's not supposed to qualify.
On the acceleration increase, Electrek said they spoke to a Mercedes rep and supposedly there will be a permanent option eventually.

Thanks. Tax credit applies only if you lease it and MB will take 7500 off the MSRP. I hope this acceleration increase truly remains permanent it suits the car very well.

How long will this incentive be available? Is it stackable with other incentives, like the car club discount?

MBCA incentives have changed. It's no longer a flat $500 discount. Now it's a variable discount from a menu that MB picks. Of course, no EQ models to be seen.

Not for too long. The dealer thought a few months. Reality is no one truly know. I didn’t even know there was any credit until they started running the numbers.

There are credits and discounts to be had you just have to be willing to get up and walk away if you dont get them. I got decent discounts on my EQE because they want to move them.

.
I also tell the salesman to make the first offer the best offer because at that point I'll either buy or walk. I'm not about to waste my time listening to multiple offer iterations.

Yes. They really want to move them. Make sure you walk out and then call back with a counter that works best for you.
the salesman told me that the eqs sales have been stagnant and they want to get the eqe to move

Interesting. My local dealer only has the AMG EQE sedan on the lot. Plenty of EQS and EQS Suv's. I'm not ready to purchase yet (but could be in the next month or so). Not sure that they'd do much on the AMG but I can always ask if when I get ready to purchase. I like the size of the EQE more than the EQS sedan.

Size was the deciding factor for me. We have the EQS SUV and I test drove the sedan a couple of times. Love the car it is great but just too big for me, when I drove the E I was like yea this is perfect. So far I have not regretted the choice.

AMG EQE
I thought that I'd add some information regarding my AMG EQE order. Maybe others will find it interesting or valuable. I live in the Midwest (US) and placed my order in late July when the dealership received an allocation. It was initially scheduled to be built in October 2022 but was delayed, and the current production date is May 5th. The sales manager informed me that options have been changing a lot, and I wouldn't be able to order the same configuration today. He mentioned that option 72B (100W USB-C Package) was removed from the Pinnacle Trim, and option 596 (Heat, Noise Insulating, and Infrared Reflecting Glass) appears to have also been removed entirely. However, he seemed somewhat uncertain about the latter because it changed from being a paid to a free option on my build. I was required to add option 399 (Multicontour Front Seats w/ Massage Function). My car was initially configured with Spectral Blue Metallic. The color has since been changed to Sodalite Blue Metallic. I'd suggest periodically checking in with your sales advisor because a few options had been erroneously changed for reasons the sales manager didn't understand, and he had to go into StarNet and change them. He complained that the ordering system had been a continuing source of frustration. Good luck with your order.
