Until there is an EQE SUV forum, I am posting here.

I have been following Mercedes for about 3 years now and here is the real deal. The EQS SUV is too big (length wise), and does not include a heat pump (deal breaker for cold weather driving). The EQE SUV has been falsely advertised for the better part of a year now. It will not include a hyperscreen or augmented reality. It also will not have any nice looking trims H08 and H67 both look cheap and blah in person. You also cannot order the front multi-contour seating package DB8 if you choose the neva grey interior. That said, Mercedes has a pattern of offering the nicest options to their European customers first even though these EV's are produced in the USA. Take a look here and you will see what I mean.
For the money they are asking, I recommend not buying until they start offering USA customers what they advertise. That is what I intend to do but may just drop them if other brands come along that are equally appealing.

MBUSA has always made bizarre decisions with the options they offer to USA customers. Another controversial topic was the "V8 Styling Package" on the GT 53. Not offered in the USA, but is offered overseas.
A MBUSA rep confirmed it was "under consideration" for the USA market for a later model year. I don't really understand what that means - it's all in the same factory, what is the problem with letting people choose the option?

I have spoken to several dealers and they all say that Mercedes is not in tune with their customers and they don't have much choice on what is sent lot them as part of their monthly allotments. I am pissed off that they led USA customers to believe that the EQE SUV would have the hyperscreen option when you look at all of the car review videos showing them installed. The hyperscreen was what got me interested in Mercedes in the first place. In my opinion, the non hyperscreen version looks cheap and the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel is partially blocked by the steering wheel. Very annoying. While I am at it, I am not a fan of piano black console (smudge magnet) but that is their only offering when choosing a lighter interior. I believe that Mercedes will have to come back to reality sooner than later if USA customers are patient and hold off ordering.

I think the simple answer here was that the hyperscreen was in limited supply and they opted to restrict it to the more expensive EQS SUV. They will probably add it to the EQE eventually.. hopefully!
Pricing is out now. Both the EQE350+ and EQE350 4Matic start at $77,900 before destination ($1,150). The EQE500 starts at $89,500. The exclusive trim adds packages totalling $2,100 and the pinnacle another $3,600, but we already knew that.
I wonder if Mercedes will offer a larger optional on-board charger for US customers so that these can be charged at home at 11kW (or better) like other electric cars.
Wow, so they're not charging extra at all for 4Matic. And that base trim should now qualify for at least some of the tax credit, and potentially all of it.
Potentially yes, but that will be the case for any EV SUV at the $80k limit. Plus at least in my state, there's no tax on EVs so the $78k SUV is now effectively competing against $65k ICE SUVs.

Prices from my Canadian dealer match those of the April order guide, but the Build function on the web site is still inactive.
Did a short test drive this morning of one configured with the AMG Line Exterior package on 20" wheels. Smooth and quite as expected. The size and height was suitable for my OH.
For Canadian buyers: Federal Luxury Tax kicks in when total sale price exceeds $100k. The base config with Admin Fee, PDI, etc will come in just under. Add some nice features and FLT will be in the low thousands unless there is a substantial dealer discount.
2023 EQE 500 SUV electric and 2024 Jaguar F-PACE SVR 5.0L
I bought a 2023 EQE 500 SUV in emerald green metallic today. It does have AR navigation in the center screen but no AR HUD like EQS in mid-level trim. And all the reviews I've seen on YouTube show a hyperscreen but that's not available until 2024 model from what I understand. I really don't like hyperscreen anyways but did want the AR HUD. It's just not worth an extra $30K to get it in an EQS SUV.
Emerald green metallic but looks black if not in direct sunlight.

Congrats! I like the Hyperscreen but for me I prefer the non-hyper interior due to the extra trim pieces. And Emerald is an excellent choice, we got many compliments on it with our old GLE.

I had a nice HUD in the Genesis GV80 Prestige I traded for it and rarely had to take my eyes off the road. So the hyperscreen just seems like a bit of a waste to me if the HUD shows everything you need. Quite frankly, I'd prefer a hyperhud and no instrument cluster at all. But anywho, she's a beauty, thanks!
