OTA update for improved wireless charging
I received an OTA update this morning for improved wireless charging performance, I think it specifically mentioned iPhone 14, which I don't use. Other than an initial OTA received last year which basically stated preparing the car for future updates, this is the only other one received.

I've noticed that with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, I can actually hear the power electronics squeaking and squealing as it charges. The charger didn't do this with the S23U. Happens on both EQE sedan and SUV. Phone direction doesn't seem to matter. Wonder if this addresses that.

Applied to my sedan today, made no difference. Charging electronics still click and squeal with the S24U. Something's different with wireless charging on that phone.

I don't have another one. It's an extremely faint sound though, you almost have to know what to listen for. I'd bet yours does it too. My car didn't do it with any other phone, just the S24U.

Yes indeed. Thought I'd used the term earlier, but I guess I forgot! I'm used to hearing it in a wide range of devices, but this is the first time I've heard it in my own car.

Had an older Lenovo X1 Yoga a few years back that had an absolute insane amount of coil whine at the VRMs. The only positive part about it was that I knew the exact amount of load on the CPU at any given time, lol. The newer ones are much better. In the E class forums I remember someone mentioning coil whine on a W213 wireless charger. Guess they can all do it with the right phone.
