Who is paying for a cell phone connection in my eqe? I'm not and no phone paired or in car. It's 10 miles from me while my son uses it and I can see it on the app and lock doors, etc.
Guess mercedes gets some discounted cell phone service for the OTA updates and SOS connection. maybe service only lasts short time? I've had this 3 months.

You paid for it. The first year of service is included with the purchase price. After that it requires a paid subscription.

Well, the Connect me does not include the Internet for browsing. For web browsing, you need to purchase. I connected my phone via bluetooth, and boy, it was slower than the 56K modems of the 1990s. Simply unusable. But regarding the Connect Me, I decided to purchase a month early before it expires, and MB basically cheated my by a month subscription. My new subscription basically will expire 1 year on the date that I renew instead of the last day honoring the original expired date. So instead of getting 13 months because I renewed early, it give me only 12 months.

You can use your phone as a Hotspot and then connect the car via wifi. Works very well, is fast, and gets you all the media you want through MBUX.
