EQE eco mode level 2 home charging
Hi everyone! I've been pondering whether it's more efficient to charge my EV using a Level 2 charger in eco mode or in normal mode. Has anyone here done any comparisons or have insights on which might be better for battery health or overall efficiency? I'd love to hear your experiences or any advice you might have on the topic!

Interesting fact, eco mode was developed for 3 phase systems so instead of charging at 22kW it would derate, to 11kW not for the battery but to ease load on grid. US implementation is lossy and poorly made, I’d recommend set your charge limit to 80% and don’t use Eco.

I am not sure if this is only true for EQE. On my EQS, I can charge to 9.7kw and to any percentage I want. 9.7kw is limited by my level 2 charger I set currently and also the limit for the EQS on level 2 charging. I think eco charging is only for DC charging.

I don't think this is correct. Eco mode seems to limit the charging at fast chargers to 100 kW, it should not affect level 2 charging at all. The 80% limit is separate. Use both to prolong the life of your battery.
