Burmester rear speakers

I have a 2024 EQE 350 4Matic which includes the Burmester sound system. While poking around the trunk I discovered that what appear to be speaker grills in the back deck (between the back seat and the rear window) firing up towards the glass or roof, have no speakers in them. Is this normal?

I do not count anywhere near the 15 speakers that are supposed to be part of this system and the sound quality is not overwhelming.

You might want to check your VIN and see if the car was really built with the sound system.

Yes, it's listed by the VIN decoder (though some do not list it), and it's on the Monrey sticker as standard equipment.

Back to the original question, if you have an EQE, does your car have speakers under the rear deck? How man speakers can you visually count?

Thanks,

Russ

Hard to count them but you can try. Their site says there should be a mid range and a tweeter in each of the 2 package tray (yes, that's what i was called at one time) enclosures.

Perfect! Clearly there should be speakers in the back deck. Thanks for the link to that drawing.

The reference was for an E-Class sedan, not an EQE. Totally different body.

Mea culpa, end of crisis. I do have rear speakers. I spent some time tuning the system and it sounds much better.

Thanks for the suggestions.
