I'm considering importing a Mercedes EQE from the US to Europe and was wondering if anyone here has experience with this or knows what's technically possible.
Specifically, I'm trying to find out:
- Can the vehicle region (MBUX, navigation, voice control, etc.) be changed to Europe?
- Is it possible to upgrade or unlock the AC onboard charger for 3-phase charging (11 kW / 22 kW)?
- Can the charge port (CCS1) be converted to CCS2, for compatibility with European charging infrastructure?

I have read more than one post online over the last couple of years where an EQ moved from one region to another suffered a hobbled and, in some cases, totally non-working MBUX navigation system.
This would be a financially high risk move, in my opinion, with a high likelihood of failure.
I think it would be a better move to find a newish, but highly depreciated EQ in Europe. Many are coming off their initial leases now.
I imported a Volvo from the US to Europe in 2002 and had to spend $800 on the headlights alone to convert them from DOT to European standard (e.g. they had to be fully replaced).
