EQE SUV Too Heavy for Stock Brakes? Here’s one solution
Let’s talk about the EQE SUV (X294). With a curb weight pushing 2.5 tons, many owners report that the stock brakes feel underwhelming—especially in sudden stops . The factory 4-piston 388mm front setup looks decent on paper, but is it enough for daily driving?We’re exploring two key angles to improve this:
1. Weight reduction (where possible without compromising luxury)
2. Upgraded brake kits (bigger bites, better heat management)
After communicate with customer, we decided to upgrade to EQE53 AMG 6 POT caliper with 415mm INSPEED carbon ceramic disc. and customer choose Original AMG Y-spoke Wheel Rim to improve the outlook ! it looks cool!
AMG High-Performance caliper no adaptor require for Standard EQE SUV.
Compared to the stock 415mm steel discs (13.55kg each), the carbon ceramic discs weigh just 7.7kg - nearly half the weight! This dramatically reduces unsprung mass for better handling and braking response.
