Hidden / less known features
With an owners manual of over a 1000 pages it's easy to overlook some things.
Wanted to list a few features that might be unknown to some:
Cargo position (SUV only)
– The rear seats can be set to a more upright angle using the bracket, creating extra trunk space.
Mute button trick
– Press and hold the mute button to disable the overspeed chime (may apply only in EU models).
Ventilation shortcut
– Press and hold the recirculation button: all windows and the roof will close.
– Hold it again: they reopen to exactly the same positions as before.
12V sockets
– There are two:
• In the front passenger footwell (left side)
• In the trunk, left side under the window (probably SUV only?).
Parking assist direction
– When you select a parking space, pressing the selected space a second time switches between head-in and reverse parking.
Mirror dip in reverse
– The right side mirror can automatically tilt down when you shift into reverse, making curb parking easier.
Driver display shortcut
– Go to your preferred driver display, press and hold OK on the left steering-wheel control, and follow the prompts.
– After setup: pressing the back button always takes you straight to your favourite display. Press it again to return to the previous screen.

remote parking assist through mobile (eq sedans), altough my attempts were not successful
for the tools my favorites; portable usbc compressor, m.2 drive and i am seriously considering portable leaf blower to dry the car

Almost forgot: by setting your profile address to another country you may find features previously not available
(you only need to fill oiut hte country, no need for a full address)
For instance; me going from France to the UK gives me; the option to buy the dashcam and gives me "share journey" in the gps (for free)

i noticed tapping the parking box, sometime it work, sometime it reverse direction. not sure why. probably need to have sufficient distance between our car and parking space.

there is no risk
if you don't like the changes or something is deleted, simply set back to the original country.
I think it also depends on the MBUX version
for instance, with my previous E-class (w213), i set country to the netherlands, bought the camera and went back to france
the camera was still there
with THE EQE, if i go back to France, I lose the camera (switching again to the netherlands brings it back)
and the "share journey" feature is free, but in order to have and keep it, i must stay in the UK (the netherlands doesn't have it either)
So i now have my car permanently on the UK in order to keep my dashcam & the share feature.
bottom line, you just have to try it out and results will vary depending which country the car is in VS which country you choose as alternative
So a bit of trial & error, but again: there is NO risk and you can always go back
just remember;
- each time you switch , you have to confirm the (local) user agreement
- it can take a while for some features to (re)activate
- You may lose certain settings (like GPS favourites).

i will also add small detail i noticed today, when you enter car mbux boot takes a while around half minute to start the cam etc. , starting pre-entry climate few minutes before than entry boots the system so you can immediatly start cam or other gadgets. I also saw in climate menu on mbux there is an option in pre-entry climate section that it automatically starts when you unlock car, i will test that one next.
