So what is the big deal. You won’t see the holes. Either that or don’t have the front plate installed. You can also get the plate holders that screw into the tow hook hole.

Or you can attach the plate with tape.
BTW Porsche doesn’t drill the rear bumper for plates either. On my last Porsche I attached the rear plate and plate frame with double sided automotive tape.

I’m sure you’ve already thought about it but I drove my Model S in Maryland/DC for 8 years and only got an extra $30 attached to a parking ticket once for not having a front plate. I consider it a fee for not having one and I’m just fine with it.

I used 3M Dual Lock to attach the front plate onto my R230 SL550 when I lived in Ohio because I knew I was moving to Pennsylvania soon where a front plate is not required.
