Xpel stealth and chrome delete

Dropped the car off yesterday for ppf, windshield and front window tint, chrome delete and ceramic coating. I always wanted a matte painted car but the eqs did not come with factory matte paint option. I found out xpel stealth can make the car a bit matte so I decided to go with xpel stealth.
shop just sent me a picture of the front and i think it looks good I will post pictures when I get the car back next week!

No Mercedes yet
That scared me; at first I thought I was looking at a photo of a crashed car :-)

It’s gonna look stunning 🤩 But I don’t quite trust these folks to put everything back with the same factory assembly quality. I wonder how this effects warranty .. I have heard that you are strictly not supposed to open the front and that could void warranty.

I had that concern too, so i had to look for the best auto shop with the best reviews even if i was going to pay a bit more. The owner is subcontracted with local benz dealer to provide ppf services to I can’t imagine it
will void warranty.
I will see how it looks when i pick it up next week and post pictures

Looks really cool. Do you mind me asking how much it cost?

Is this a "clear" covering that just gives a Matte appearance on top of the existing color or is it a specific matte black covering?

it is a clear protective film that makes it look satin.
i am paying a little over 10k for all the work.

My car is white and ideally I wanted a selenite grey but we ended up getting the white because it was available on the lot and checked all the boxes of options we wanted and we get the tax credit. But if I did a wrap like this how good is the finish compared to the original paint. My question is that if I did a wrap in selenite grey or matte selenite grey, would it look as good as the original paint job?

Wraps are good at about 3 feet. They never look as good as original paint from a high quality manufacture like Mercedes. Plus not all painted surfaces will be wrapped. So open a door or the hatch and you will most likely see the original color. You typically see edges up close as well.

The matte film will look more natural because it's still the original paint color, just matte. White looks particularly good with matte film. It will really change the presence of the car.

I've considered matte wrap on our Twilight Blue EQS, but the price tag is holding me back. I would rather black out the chrome trim and buy new wheels for the money.

I would skip the emblem. Especially since it is a new car and has a mystery factor.

Your shop did an amazing job.

Wow that looks great. The film and chrome delete look amazing. I see you removed the rear emblems and just kept the black star which is exactly what I would have done. I personally don’t like black wheels, I wood keep the stock wheels and put on some spacers for a more aggressive look. Nicely done.

To complete the exterior I sold definitely install some lowering links. Will make a huge difference.
