This plastic hatch was included (wrapped in plastic) with my EQS SUV when I received it, but I don't know what its purpose is, and where it is supposed to go. Any ideas?
Google that that part number.
Or, call your local dealer.
Without any scale of reference to its size, it is hard to guess. Could it be the cover for the licence plate holder?
Looks like the license plate mount for the front bumper. Some states require a front plate.
Thanks. Although my state (California) is one of those annoying states that require front plates, my dealer (nicely) decided not to mount the front license plate holder, so as to not disfigure the (otherwise attractive) front of the EQS.
Fortunately, for California, there is now an alternative to mounting an actual license plate on the front. Instead, you can get a 'wrap' that includes the front license plate; see https://licenseplatewrap.com/

Are you planning to get the wrap? If you are, would love to see what that looks like as I'm also trying to find a no-drill solution.
I use this on multiple cars, SUV’s. Md requires a plate so this has been used on two AMGs. Also have it on an old lx470 that was still undrilled. They work well enough and are better than the models that fit in tow hooks as those are easily stolen (ask how I know). plenty of options out there to not drill. Some even attaching from under the bumper. No part of this mount touches a surface of the car.
