Using a route map in the ESQ is really nice and I touch the “x” on the screen to turn off the sound but touching the “x” on the front camera photo at each turn only erases that particular picture. At each additional turn the front picture appears
fills the screen and I have to touch the “x” once again. I don’t need or want to use the front screen shot. Any way to turn it off for a whole route? Thanks…

You can turn that feature off. See owners manual instructions below. There are settings which can be turned off for Augmented reality in navigation settings and in traffic light settings.

So I also found this AR video screen irritating and kept closing it. But as I use it more I realize 2 things. 1. They move the underlying navigation screen right so most of the time you can still see where your car is on the regular nav screen and 2. also in the heads up display you have the next turn you need to make, so I actually now like the combination of the big screen/HUD and AR screen as I'm driving, especially on roads/turns that I don't know. You may want to give it some time and see if you get used to it.
