Has anyone managed to activate Digital Vehicle Key?
This is mentioned in the manual and it seems it should work with either NFC or Bluetooth but I can’t find a way in Mercedes Me to activate it. Has anyone managed to get it to work?

I don't think it is available in the US. I searched high and low for information on it, and only found examples of it working on European models. Super bummed since I would love to not have to use my fob.

Not supported in the US market and I agree, bummer. I would settle for soft-close doors. Hopefully these options will be available when we upgrade in a few years.

To use that feature one must have the Euro version of Mercedes me and have an account in one of the countries listed in the app. I went through that exercise in 2018. Getting the app is trivial. Getting a Euro Mercedes me account for a US vehicle is impossible without a physical presence a supported country.
