I came across this video of the upcoming EQE SUV and notice some cool new features, some of which I hope will be coming to EQS SUV owners in the US market as an OTA update.

I believe the Offroad Camera is already active on the current EQS.
I would really like the front disconnect. Our Rivian disconnects the rear motors (opposite but the same effect) and the efficiency gains are about 20%. It makes a noticeable difference on long road trips.

2019 SL550/2023 EQS 580 SUV
I have the 580 SUV and there is a center screen setting that shows the motors in use while driving the vehicle. The only time both motors are in use is in moderate to hard acceleration.

I thought the same, at first.
But the comment sort of aligns with what my dealer told me. He suggested that the transition from full 4WD to mostly rear-wheel-drive is automatic and gradual. If what he says is true (???) then the complete decoupling of the front motor at this point may, indeed, benefit only an extra 5% of range.
