EQS SUV 450+
Dashcam
I want to purchase the $200 dashcam upgrade. However, looking at some reviews it seems i need to manually turn it on every time I drive? Is this the case?

You can change the settings where it turns on when you start the car.

Utopia Texas is correct. I have ours set to start recording as soon as the car is started. A brief message is displayed letting you know the recording is underway.

These 90 degree USB to USB type C adapters are great so you can install your thumb drives in the center console to record the front camera videos where they will not stick out horizontally and get in the way…

Anyone have a problem getting the eqs suv to recognize a drive attached to the usb c ports? I tried three different drives in all of the usb c ports and the car did not recognize any of them. I thought something might be wrong with the way I have the drive set up. Tried it my other car and the car recognized the drive right away. I wanted to try out the dash cam feature but I can’t without having a drive attached to the usb port.

I believe there is only two way communication with the two ports in the center console. Some correct me if I am wrong.

I believe it’s installed on all cars. If you don’t order it from the factory you can order it when you have the car thru the Mercedes app.

Correct, you can order the Dash Cam from MB for $200 I believe. I added it, it's a software unlock.
