Hardwire 3rd Party Dashcam

I used a metal fuse tap that does not add a separate circuit, but uses the circuit protected by the existing fuse. I installed the fuse tap on the 12v accessory socket which rarely has anything plugged into it. In my case I added a circuit for an extra 12v socket that I installed in the center console. If you need a circuit that is not powered with "ignition" then you will have to choose a different circuit.
There is another style of metal fuse tap, but it doubles the thickness of the fuse blade and I think this will damage the fuse socket in an existing circuit and will not fit snuggly in an open slot in the fuse panel.

Fuse panel below floor of storage compartment below cargo floor (no third row seats).
Ground wire in center console area.
Fuse tap in center of photo works with existing fuse in MB fuse panel.
