2024 Order Guide

I felt the same way about each of the MB vehicles I purchased since 2000. The difference is that in prior instances I took delivery in the last model year before the face-lifted version. The 2024 EQS 450 4Matic SUV includes at least $10K in additional features at the same MSRP which I consider a significant change for the second year offering. I don't regret purchasing the 2023 EQS a year ago, since I would have really taken a hit on my Taycan CT4 if I had held on to it until the Spring of 2024 when the new EQS will be available.

If you have a MY24 EQS SUV on order, let those of us on this forum know when or if it is in production.
I would think MB is already building MY24 EQS SUV's but please confirm if your dealership has given you an ETA.

I just placed my EQS 2024 SUV order at the dealership yesterday. They told me they don't have allocations for November yet but should get some by the middle of the month and I am likely first in queue for the EQS SUV. Now I need to be patient, though I've already had to wait 2 months just to be able to order the MY2024 vehicle.

EQS SUV has new competition. I personally think it's ugly but I'm pretty sure they just beat the pants off MB in the range department.

I'm sure it will be a good 3-row EV with great range and while I wouldn't call it ugly, the back-end is odd looking for sure. And I'm not impressed with the dash. They say the base model will start at under $80K, I'll believe that when they actually build and sell them for under $80K. I'd guess the bulk of them will be in the $120K to $180K range.
For me, I'll stick with a MB who's been building cars for more than 100 years and has a dealership in town where I can look at and test drive such a purchase. I'll leave the online purchasing of Ev's to others.

Yeah well looks are a personal preference thang i guess. To me it's too Jetsons/Buck Rogers/Back to the Future looking and won't age well. My new Jaguar has a timeless elegance that'll look just as cool in 30 years.
As for German engineering, well, uh, it's really not what it used to be in this global parts shop that auto manufacturers are using these days. Heck, I almost traded for a Porsche EV but quite frankly that thing is a death trap and even a small front-end collision would total the plasticy mess of hoses and tubes:

2024 Lotus Eletre is being delivered to customers. This green one would be the perfect match for my 2024 BRG Jaguar F-Pace. I might not wait for 2025 models with NACS connectors to trade-in my EQE 500 SUV.

I'm looking to replace my RClass after 14 years, and I definitely need three rows. I'm aiming at the EQS SUV for now but I have to say the Lucid Gravity, from a utility standpoint, is much closer to the RClass. A third row that fits adults. It's dimensions are closer to the RClass too, which I find more appealing than the higher, boxier look of the EQS SUV. But Lucid is a pretty risky proposition from a corporate survivability standpoint, notwithstanding Saudi Arabia's backing.

2014 Mercedes E350 4matic Wagon, 2018 Fiat 124 Spyder Lusso manual, 2005 Acura TSX manual
2024 EQS450+ and 450 4Matic SUV models have been released for sale. Remember the 2024s get the addition of a larger battery pack (excluding Maybachs), front motor disconnect (excluding 450+), and a heat pump. With that all being said, I found a window sticker for a 450+ and the range is now an impressive 339 miles rated. Haven't been able to find a full window stiker picture for a 4Matic model. Exciting! 34 mile boost!

There are a lot of EQS 450 SUV 4MATIC's popping up within a 100 miles of my location as well but none showing a window sticker. I haven;t checked the lot of a nearby dealership but hope to soon. Pricing is generally between $114K to $119K. BTW, they also get the Hyperscreen standard which no doubt drove up the MSRP, but I wouldn't;t buy another EQS SUV without a Hyperscreen. I just don't care for the iPad center-console look in the non-Hyperscreen models.

The picture was blury but there's a car listed in South Orlando, an EQS450 $Matic SUV, with the window sticker in the background of one of the pictures, and it appears to say 330 mile range. That's huge if true! Rated range up 55 miles on that model.

Updates 3/20:
- Heated Steering Wheel can now be operated through a dedicated button in "Climate Menu"
- Door Handles have been optimized for faster and easier opening
- Second Row Easy-Entry can now return the seat back to its original position. After folding the seat forward to access the third row, press the button at shoulder level once to return seat to an optimal position for third row comfort. Press the button and hold again and it will return seat to previous position.
