How come this doesn't mention Zync Streaming ?
This car will be lacking necessary hardware for Level 3 system. So from point of view of future it not a buy, but hooray for lease till MB OS + MMA Mercs show up. Those are simply awesome. Please read about it or see videos on new MB OS presentation given by Ola Källenius and MBRDNA Sunnyvale, CA.

also the file date is very inconsistent- for example somewhere said the 580 won’t has 108k battery and the at bottom part it’s saying will get 118k - sounds like a kid created the doc and hard to trust the date

It's pretty easy to see if your car has it. The EQE SUV has an entry for "A83 Vehicles with EATS engine separator clutch" if you search your VIN on mb.vin. It'd be interesting to see if there actually is an EQS with the same feature already.
Again that screen just shows the energy distribution for 2022 and 2023 EQS's. There is no DCU in EQS's prior to 2024. After 2024 all EQ's will have a DCU.

Nice changes:
- Hyperscreen standard on all models
- Updated regenerative braking
- Illuminated chrome trim on backs of front seats
- Powered charging port door
- Active ambient lighting (thought we had that now but we'll see)
- 110v/240v charging cable
- 5G communication module
- Soft close doors
- New paint colors: Moonlight White and Sonoran Brown metallic
- Removed gestures to open and close the sunroof (good riddance)
Changes that will improve range:
- Heat Pump
- 4MATIC Disconnect
- 118 kWh Battery
Missing:
- NACS charging port

Interesting to see what happens with the bigger battery - the EQS Maybach still shows the 107.4 kwh battery, and I'll also be curious about any "trial"/pre production 2024s.
I went through the 2024 order guide and noticed the list of standard features for the 580 is missing some items that are listed for the 450 4matic. I'm not sure if that's just documentation error, or these are really missing in the 580?
10-Degree Rear Axle Steering
4MATIC Intelligent Disconnect System
Heat Pump
2 Years of Complementary 30-Minute DC Fast Charging Sessions on the Electrify America Network
Complementary Maintenance for 2 Years / 20,000 Miles
Illuminated Running Boards
Mobile Flex Charging Cable (240v or 110v Charging)
Power Front Seats with Contour Ambient Lighting and Memory (241, 242)
From amongst the above the heat pump, the DCU and 10 degree rear axle steering are pretty useful so I would be sad if they were really missing in the 580. Any ideas?
Also can someone give me a high level idea about what I should expect starting with when I go to the dealer to put in my order to when the car is delivered? If that is already covered in a previous thread I'd appreciate a pointer.

I assume the running boards will also be standard once they debug the DOG but I hope they can be deleted, they don't offer much and only dirty your pant leg.

Also can some of the more experienced folks share the steps for what happens once I go place a build order with the dealer until I take delivery of the vehicle? I guess it is several months, what happens in those months?
There's a few older posts on this forum with detailed information on the order process so search for those for order status codes and the like. In general, the dealer will submit the order, the factory will accept it and give an approximate production date. As it gets closer to the production date, the factory will lock in the config and you won't be able to make any changes. They'll provide a more exact production date as a "decade" of a month or the 1st, 2nd or 3rd third of a month. After production, the dealer should be able to provide the final configuration and I think a VIN.
You should be very comfortable with your salesperson and they should be well versed in the order process and be communicative.
Good luck and negotiate prices beforehand.
ETA: I placed the order with the dealer Nov '22, it was accepted Dec '22, produced in May '23 and delivered end of Jun '23. About 8 months but it was a sedan produced in Germany in the first year of production. Dealer initially thought it would be 4 months.
