Lane Keep Assist/Auto Steering not working properly

Recently I am seeing the Lane Keep Assist and Auto Steering as part of cruise control is having some intermittent issues. While I am doing cruise control, the auto-steering used to work very well but now I see the 2 green lines (indicating the line markers) in my dash is going between gray and green. When this happens, the auto-steering stops working. I suspect that this may be caused by the sun position these days? In North America, the sun is pretty much over the horizon throughout the day, glaring onto my eyes (and probably cameras?) Anyone having this issue?

What happens when you are driving in the opposite direction?

I tested this many times. Opposite side works fine. And night time works fine. I think it happens whenever the mid day sun is hitting right through the windshield.
