Tire change at 10K
Is it normal that my rear tire is at 3MM and front at 4 MM already at just 10000 miles? I thought the tires last for 30K miles.

I replaced the tires on our EQS 580 SUV at just over 6000 miles because the right rear wore through to the chords. Ours came with the summer tires which did not last at all. We replace them with all season tires which so far are wearing much better.

I went for my 20k service a few days ago, and my rear tires had 2/32nd of tread left (I have a third-row option). The service advisor told me that there is no tread warranty, and many are replacing them around 15k. I didn’t want to install the OEM tires, so I am getting the Pirelli ones from Tire Rack. I will go back to the dealership for an alignment after that.

I downsized to non-staggered 20" wheels and 265/50R-20 PIRELLI SCORPION AS PLUS 3 XL tires on my EQS SUV. I have 4,300 miles on the 20" set which had 11/32" tread depth when new. Just measured today and all tires still have more than 10/32" tread depth. The passenger side rear tire reads about 1/64" less than the other three tires. I am hoping to get 40K miles out of this second set of tires if I rotate them every 5,000 miles.
Driving 20K miles annually with the 21" tires would cost about $2,000 per year for new tires. The 20" wheels and tires cost about $3500, so the breakeven point is less than two years.

They say the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric tires are only good for 4K to 5K miles...what????
Is anyone experiencing this?

I Expect to change tires every 10-12 months for this 6 ton high torque monster machine .. under very normal driving conditions. Annual cost ~3k for OEM. Recently changed to Perilli verde and I have lost 1 mm in just one month in the rear !
