About to lease EQS 4504matic early production unit
Sorry posted in the sedan forum.
I am getting a great deal on a new EQS SUV 450x4 but is a early production car. VIN of ******6000. The car has been sitting on the dealer lot with only 50 miles on odometer. 1. Should I be worried about any thing in particular with early production?2. Battery degradation given the unit has been on dealer lot for>1 year.3. Check list befits driving it off dealers lots Thank you

I would ask how they maintained the charge at all? These batteries don't like to be stored for long especially at very low or high charge levels. If they kept it at 60% throughout the year, it maybe OK.
If you are leasing and do plan to return the car at the end of 3 years, then it shouldn't matter much btw. The battery degradation may mean few miles off the range but you won't have to worry about replacing it or anything. If you are not leasing it, I would reconsider unless they give 30% off MSRP, it likely won't be a good deal since 2023 models already lost a lot of value and will lose more once 2024's are on the lots.

If you’re leasing that don’t worry. I just wouldn’t but it out at the end. I have a late 2023 EQS 580 SUV that I leased yesterday for a ridiculous discount that I’ll be returning at the end. It’s been at the dealer for about 5 months 30 miles and they manage their EVs at around 50% charge but I’m not really worried. The MSRP was $140,8xx and the final cap cost on the lease was 108,xxx.
