Curious differences in only five months
We have a 4/2023 build date 2023 EQS 580 SUV and have had a 9/2023 build 2023 EQE 450 SUV loaner while the wife's car is in for service. In the week that we've had the loaner I've found a number of differences beyond what I would have expected for such a short build time difference. Especially since the EQS supposedly has current software as of a week ago. I assume that both platforms share the same basic features like these.
Things that are different on the newer EQE.
-5g connectivity for the EQE versus 4g on the EQS.
-An option setting for automatic assisted plane change. When in automatic if you're driving in the fast lane and the slow lane is clear it decides on its own to change lanes and vica versa with coming up on slower traffic. It must be a German thing, definitely not American.
-When changing lanes at night without a turn signal the headlights project a triangle into the new lane in addition to tweaking the ambient lighting. The EQS just does the latter.
-One charging status light at the charge port versus two on the EQS.
-A fixed DC charging flap versus a removable plug on the EQS.
I would have expected things like this to come with the 2024 models.

Don't know about the rest, haven't really play with the auto drive much.

EQS 450 4Matic SUV
The build dates of the two vehicles you are comparing may only be 5 months apart, but the 9/2023 EQE is about a year newer than the first build dates of the generation of the EQS you are driving. So, even though both SUVs are the same MY, they are about one design year apart.
