2023 Mercedes EQS SUV 580
How Good is this Deal or wait for 2024?

I came across a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV 580 (CPO) with 30,000 miles, registered in 09/2023. It’s the Pinnacle trim without the third-row seat, originally MSRP’d at $143K and now listed for $65K. It includes all the features I’m looking for.

My only concern is that it has accumulated 30K miles in about 18 months. Since I work from home and won’t be driving much, I believe the remaining 4-year/50K-mile factory warranty, plus the 1-year CPO warranty, should cover me until around 09/2028.

I’m debating whether this is a good deal or if I should wait a couple more months for more 2024 models to become available.

Some benefits of the 2024 models that are relevant to me:
  1. Base EQS 450+ now includes the Hyperscreen as standard — a must-have for me.
  2. Addition of a heat pump for better efficiency.
  3. Improved brake pedal feel.
  4. Larger battery for better range.
I’d appreciate your thoughts or advice on whether to go ahead with the 2023 CPO deal or wait for a 2024 model.

I am in your exact situation, but what I have found since beginning this search is that if you find what you absolutely want/like, just go for it. In this case, the previous owner has put on ~20,000 miles annually which is sorta high, but if you won’t be driving that much maybe not such a big deal. You can always consider an extended warranty for additional peace of mind.

i will counsel that you check out the car and make sure it is really clean, well maintained/ taken good care of, and it has what you are absolutely looking for at the right price. Life is too short to wait for things to line up perfectly…

Good luck, and don’t sweat the little stuff.
