Agree. They have it on S-Class now so why not on EQS.

That said, it's easy for the PPF guys to wrap it in black so we can still get that look aftermarket.

Right, the reflector caught me by surprise too. I’ve owned many a car and never had a reflector like that on any of them. Reminds me of the reflector I have in my bicycle wheel.

This place is a joke.
Thanks for posting. Saw a black EQS in person and it was quite bland. The white looks much nicer.

Am I wrong in thinking that the Gloss black wraps loose their luster after a few months? Or is that only certain wraps?

I have never done it, but my understanding is that the better brands offer a 5-7 year warranty which should indicate more than a few months of durability.

Re: “looks” of different cars - electric or ICE; totally subjective, but people write it
as though it’s Gospel. Our Lord is not involved in their design!

The folks who have seen and commented on my just-delivered Cardinal Red 450 have been unanimously complimentary of it.
They are not making comparisons, simply expressing their pleasure at what they see.

Ill never buy a black or white car ever again. PITAs both. One of the advantages of mercedes is magno paints. Best in the business. You pay a premium but there is nothing like paint that doesn't chip and needs virtually no care. Wash and go. My selenite magno looks as good as it did when I drove the car off the lot five years ago. 5 wisconsin years of salt, sand, snow and ice. Worth every penny. Ordered the 580 exactly the same.

I love everything about it except not being able to use automatic car washes. I know I know. I should always be hand washing an S regardless, but life happens and losing the convenience of a car wash sucks.

Please explain. Why can’t you wash the car in an automatic car wash? I have owned a 2019 S450 and I always go to a quality auto car wash and wash it and dry it. The car looks like new.

my understanding is that the matte finish does not do well in an automatic car wash. The spinners can buff to a shine Touchless is perhaps an option but even they use a lot of waxes and soaps that can affect the matte finish. Happy to be educated if I’m wrong on this one. I love the look of the Magno Gray.

Did you have to hand-wash it or was it OK with touchless commercial car wash? I like to Magno color, but I could never see myself handwashing it3

You can put through any car wash! Touchless is preffered. The only thing you can't do is buff the paint with any abrasive (If you do you will get a shiny spot where you do). The only "wax" I ever use is Meguiars ultimate fast finish which lasts for months. It gives it a deep gloss. Its a simple spray and wipe and takes 5 minutes to apply. The paint is tough! Once a year I clay the bottom panels to remove little tar blobs and stuck on "contaminants" if needed. If you hate washing you can take it to a detailer to get these small jobs done once a year. Just make sure to tell them that the car cannot be "waxed". The ultimate fast finish also happens to be be bottom price product its simply a dilute "ceramic" sealer. This is by far the toughest, easiest to maintain paint bar none. Again, its not cheap but definitely worth the additional cost.

Never heard of that. Thought would need to order from the US but it appears to be available even from a local general store. Need to try it next time.

If you are in another country just look for a spray and wipe ceramic "sealer". There are many brands.
If the product has any polishing abrasives DO NOT USE. Another no-no is any natural "wax" like carnauba. If its spray and wipe it should be fine.
BTW that 20 dollar bottle will wax your car about 5 times! Dirt cheap. Again, given the product is so durable and effective virtually all companies make one. It only works on "good paint" its useless on old weathered finishes since it doesn't "polish".
The "ceramic" portion of all these product is silicone oxide SiO2. It bonds very strongly to the paint and its extremely hydrophobic thus repels water.

Lastly you can use on any part of the car. Avoid the glass because it gets smeared and it takes additional wiping to remove. Spray on the towel, apply, flip the towel to even out, done!
