It looks like the RWX are most efficient as listed in the option guide. This is what is detailed on the option page:
RWX 21" **RWX w/ Range-Optimized Summer Tires (R01) is Best Range Wheel/Tire Combination**
With All-Season Tires (R02), range is decreased.
265 / 40 R 21 on 9.5J x 21H2 ET 41.5
R01: MO, R02: MOE Run-Flat All Models
RWY 21" Highly recommended with Range-Optimized Summer Tires (R01) for best range.
With AllSeason Tires (R02), range is decreased.
265/40 R 21 on 9.5 J x 21H2 ET 41.5
R01: MO, R02: MOE Run-Flat All Models $0
I think MB has Out-Engineered everyone on the interior but the fell flat and completely failed on the exterior!

The Lucid is not everyone's cup of tea, but it does look surprisingly good in the flesh. It has the opposite issue, less stellar interior. That said, I am tempted to order one. Turns out I didn't get my October allocation because the guy ahead of me changed his mind and decided to keep his spot even if he doesn't get an Edition 1.

I did not place an order for an EQS because its currently missing some of the key features. The main one for me is the comfort doors. There is no way I will buy an EQS unless its fully loaded. I need all the interior toys to justify buying such an ugly vehicle.
And yes, judging from the reviewers that have been around the vehicle on videos... not one of then has said anything close to "Its looks better in person." Judging from that... The EQS horrible visual appearance is WYSIWYG.

I have come to the realization that it ONLY looks tolerable in Black and Matte Grey...
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I changed from White to Black after watching that ROCARS video, the car looked very sexy in black. I only wish it we an option to get 22" OOR wheels which would look great on it. wrap the calipers in red or yellow and I
would be a happy camper!

Yeah, same here, the more the merrier! It is definitely noisy and the interior is not nearly as plush as EQS. great mileage! The top of the line $179k dream edition I'm a fan of their gold two tone and the wheels are very cool. It may have more of a cool factor in comparison to EQS. It has a level 2+ autonomous driving which is cool, I'm not sure what EQS is going to have, it appears to be Level 2 technology. I saw no option to add on the "Drive Pilot"..
But Lucid a hell of a lot more $$$ at $179k.

I am really torn between the EQS and the Lucid.
we have a Taycan right now and previously had a Tesla(both S and 3). The quality of the Taycan is superb and it drives fantastically,it blows the Tesla out of the water.(Tesla interior and build quality is garbage)
however: the tech, ADAS, and infotainment are absolute trash in the Taycan. Like, I can barely even tell when using the nav where my next turn is. It is routinely exceptionally buggy. The ADAS is absolutely abysmal. Frequently disengages, loses the lines, ping pings in lanes, etc.
this is my major concern with EQS. When we test drove a new S class, the infotainment was laggy. I’m concerned the EQS will be the same and have terrible ADAS.
I don’t trust a legacy automaker to continue delivering quality software updates like I would Rivian, Tesla, and Lucid. For our first major software update on the Taycan we had to go to the dealer, which is just, you know, absurd for a software update when it is marketed as over the air. In the year and a half we have owned it we have only gotten one real update that added airplay wireless and that is it.
tesla, Lucid, and Rivian will nail the software and face challenges on build and quality. Mercedes will nail the interior and face challenges on software.

"All that glass does make the interior of the car a bit boomy even on relatively smooth stretches of road. Boomy enough that on two separate 13-minute loops, I had to lean forward to hear the conversation happening in the front seat." (source)
ADAS in the EQS will definitely be far batter than in Taycan.

Mercedes knows production and assembly lines and is introducing the EQS in their newest and showcase line in Sindelfingen. I have a PO for an EQS and more confident that MB will produce an auto that is technologically superior to any start up company.. I am most confident that I have less exposure to recalls and warranty issues after delivery.
