MBUX streaming services

Autoweek's review of the EQS says:
"The most novel portion is the far-right third screen, which only appears when a passenger is present, but offers that passenger a suite of entertainment and information options—though not including Netflix videos (yet)."
Of course, you could always just go for a mild hybrid like the "53" or "450" series vehicles. You can still feel good about driving a hybrid and you can be in and out of the gas station in 5 minutes which alleviates the need for streaming while waiting a half hour for a charge.

Also don't knock a luxury EV until you try it. Think about all the effort Mercedes has put into trying to minimize the engine noise and vibration in the ICE S class, you get that automatically in an EV. So instead of trying to hide the engine noise, why not just remove the engine. Smile
There are three things that keep me on the fence about whether I will make the final leap to the EQS: loss of infotainment (Netflix, Hulu, Disney), FSD vaporware seems to be materializing finally, and, mobile service rather than going to a brick and mortar dealership. Until you experience at home car repair, you don't realize how big a convenience this is.

2) FSD - don't see a material gap vs Tesla on this. In the near term the Mercedes system has more benefits because it is not speed limited and doesnt cost extra.
3) Mobile service - My dealer offers pickup and delivery for service. They come to your house, drop off a loaner and then bring your car back and collect the loaner. I find it is an adequate solution for a once a year service. Most dealers in Atlanta offer this these days.
Often times I feel sorry for them when a car beside me has to make a turn into a gas station when we are both going in the same direction towards work or leaving work on the way home.
I say to myself “awwwww, your car doesn’t fill up while you eat dinner every day? Awwww, well don’t let any of that stinky toxic stuff splash on your clothes… byeeee!”
lol, I am an EV elitist after owning an EV for only 3 months.

While we were there I tried streaming video in an EQS. It’s all via browser. You can almost make it full screen but you can’t get rid of the search bar at the top. I don’t know if you can save passwords. I didn’t use my personal log in.
Will look into password management when my own car arrives Thursday.
My guess is they will launch native apps for Netflix, etc him the coming months.

Good find on Disney. I tried it and it works great.
On YouTube I noticed Google doesn’t like the browser so you can’t log into your YouTube account.
