You can find several photos of a Cardinal Red EQS on the internet.

I'm one of the group of dinosaurs who is willing to post a photo so long as all I have to do is copy one and then paste it in the message panel. If anything else is required, to hell with it, I ain't gonna be bothered. None of this multi-step stuff for me..

Well, it's only because I figured out a way to let my estate pay for it after I'm gone, and get a charitable deduction next year as well. Don't bother to ask me; ask your tax guy.

I haven't seen any photos of a Cardinal Red EQS outside of the configurator. Searching google doesn't pop up many results either besides photoshop renders, it doesn't seem to be a highly promoted color by MB for their press photos or videos.

Unfortunately my 580 is still in Sindelfingen (Status B5) - Produced not shipped. German customers have the ability to track what is going on but here in the US we can't (probably overzealous attorneys afraid of providing transparency).

Update:
I placed my order for an EQS 580 with a $1,000 refundable deposit on October 10, 2021 with Mercedes Benz of Monterey CA.
Just checked in with the rep today - as of November 22 2021 we have no allocation or build date yet.
He's not sure when they will get a slot, but I'm first in line.
My build is posted at the top of this thread...

The allocations are really anemic.

My dealer - Benzblogger - of MB of North Atlanta, told me I am fourth on list (also placed order in April the week it was announced).

They got 2 EQS580 for October, and 1 for February. They have so far got 4X allocations of 450 vs the 580.

I have to say I'm pretty angry about this. I wish I had placed deposits with multiple dealers.

Mercedes USA (and or Mercedes worldwide) are doing a terrible job of setting expectations about availability for the EQS. They are doing tons of marketing, but they are also keeping both their customers and dealers in the dark about allocations, production capacity, expectations for time from order to delivery, etc. I will be asking about this when I go on the EQS experience in a couple of weeks, but I expect no answer. I understand the chip shortage, but they still know how many they can build, and how many orders their dealers are trying to submit, and what their build ramp is expected to look like etc. They just aren't sharing with anyone as far as I can tell. My dealer has zero idea of when they will get an allocation for the EQS 580 I ordered - they won't even guess - much less when it might get built.

I ordered one week ago and got an allocation 2 days later. As a long time Mercedes customer I'm well aware that the only thing I can surmise from that info is that I will get the car as ordered sometime in the future. For our GLS 580 that was 6mths.
GLS 580 excecutive trim selenite magno/AMG neva brown interior, acoustic glass and a few more specs 132k.
No "additional charges" of any sort other than the usual 900 for delivery.

BTW the toll pass is not avaliable.
I also ordered the regular HUD not the virtual reality one. Even on my GLS 580 I use only about 1/3 of the HUD otherwise its too distracting for me.

I'm told if you’re wearing Polarized sunglasses, they pretty much block the HUD.

I have not checked this out but since I wear my tri-focal prescription Polaroid glasses most of the daytime when I’m driving I have never bought HUD.

polarized lenses do wash it out. But it's still visible. Like all issues with polarization just craning your head slightly to one side or the other will solve the issue. Note that is a problem with polarized 'sunglasses" its no issue with antireflective lenses.

Just one recommendation, I would swapped those all season tires for summers most particularly if you live in California. Why hobble the cars handling from the get go? Im a snowbelt guy and I gave up on all seasons a loooong tome ago you end up with a tire that is always mediocre. Unfortunately I dont know of any manufacturer that equips cars with the newer "all climate" tires like the michelin cross climate, finally a tire that is decently competent in all weather conditions.

Finally I axed the the augmented reality and replaced it with the "regular" one and the auto toll payment was axed by MB.

I had prescription polarized glasses that I quickly had them remove the polarization lens and just go with Anit-glare. Non issues with the HUD after that!

Just received notice from the dealer that my 450+ has been assigned a ship. Completed production 10/27. Hopefully delivery before the end of the year.

That is great news. My car was manufactured 10/27 also and I am still waiting for a ship assignment. Which coast for delivery? My VPC will be Brunswick, GA. 12 days after the ship leaves port, arrival and then with no VPC delays, into my hands in the southwest.
