Just remember with window tinting, if you go darker than the state law (pertaining to percentage of window tint, darkening) you could be subject to a traffic ticket, if the wrong officer stops you for that or something else?

On my recent trip to Switzerland I was surprised how common the color is there on every MB model! Here in the states its very limited. Also.. Hyundai copied it and its very common on their Ionic 5.

sorry I missed the thread. 12V issue? Just jump it. When you get home charge the car and the 12V will recharge then. Im starting to suspect that there are some bum 12 V batteries out there....

Just as an update, the light colored Neva Grey mats got dirty within a day. They are truly an absurd choice of floor mat and I'm shocked Mercedes approved them for production.

The Lloyds Mats Dark Blue swatch doesn't match either.

Fortunately i have found a custom mat company which does really high quality work and can make custom mats with an inlaid logo. Their mats are available in 168 colors, plus custom dyes if those don't work. They are going to visit the Mercedes dealer to compare their color swatches to Mercedes leather swatches to figure out whether one of the 168 colors will match or if they need a custom one. Will hopefully get these custom Biscaya Blue mats into production soon.

If you are buying something you must be happy, substitutes don't fit in. After seeing and hearing different things about your interior I decided to scrap mine and go with the Black/Space Grey Nappa instead, I'm sure I'll be much happier and less stressed about dirt, stains and cleaning.

For sure if that bothers you then you will be happier with the black. I have to say though that my first EQS had the Black/Space Grey, and I am delighted with my Grey/Blue interior. This mat issue will be solved soon.

My EQS 580 which I ordered in late March of this year and was built on June 8th is supposed to be delivered to my dealer in NJ today!! Only 3 days after the ship docked in Baltimore…. I guess I was very fortunate with the timing.. Even my dealer was surprised.. Hope to pick it up tomorrow or Friday… Interestingly I placed an order for a BMW iX50 the same day… I still have no definite build date but an estimated delivery of first quarter 2023… what a disparity in delivery times… Anyway, I’m very excited to be getting my car… thanks to everybody for the useful and informative material on this forum!!

Now amazing, everyone has been waiting 9 months to 15 months for their EQS 580, you order, get it built and delivered in under 3 months, sounds a little fishy to me?

Not Fishy, just Lucky. That is another problem with the current dealer model. If OP had gone to another dealer OP would have been waiting.
But OP went to dealer that did not have a wait list, and that dealer happened to be next in line with MB.

If you buy a Tesla... If you and I buy the same car. Then the person that orders first gets their car first!

Exactly… when i placed my order in late March the dealer had one remaining allocation or an EQS with an estimated build date in July… The build date got moved up to June 8th and the car will be delivered to me this week.. about 3.5 months… very fortunate it was not held up in the VPC and a carrier was available almost immediately… even my dealer was surprised…

My order has been built and is awaiting shipping.
I am a little disappointed that the dealer placed my original order. After sitting in an EQS with AMG seats and then buying my EQS 450 without the AMG seats I decided that I didn't like the AMG seats and I actually like the front seat pillows of my 450.
I asked to have the AMG interior removed and have the order changed to Macchiato Beige/Space Grey Napa Leather.

Also the build sheet says "D6M Hands-Free Access Features Not O CREDITnal $-100"
Does that mean the car will not recognize as I approach? It will not present the handles and will not unlock unless I take out the key and press the key fob?
First world problems but that actually sounds dreadful.

There is a lot more detail (codes and description) here than on the order sheet I received for my 580 (built last month and on the ship). I suspect that many of the standard features ar “standard” - just wondering why all the detail in this build.

Here we go! My dealer called two weeks ago to tell me my EQS580 was built and on the water (Don Quixote Vessel). The ship unloaded in Brunswick, GA. yesterday. I'm guessing in a few weeks should have my Twilight Blue Metallic EV? If that's the case it will be a few days more than a years since ordering but it is a 2023, not 2022. Not that there is much change just a carryover year, minor upgrades, fingers crossed!

Congrats. Now the wait continues. My 23 580 has been at the VPC since 10 September with no movement. You may get your car before I do. I wonder if they process cars at the VPC in the order they receive them. I was excited at first when I was told my car was finally built on 20 July after waiting so long, but it’s been nothing but delays since then. I don’t expect to get my car till the end of November at the earliest.

My 2023 EQS 450 4Matic had a scheduled build date of the first week in October. I proactively reached out to my dealer to see where things were at and they told me my build date has been pushed back to February!!

No reason was given by the factory but my dealer speculated a delay that long is usually the result of supply chain shortages.

Has anyone else experienced this? Was the quoted delay time accurate?
