First Gen Body style?

Mercedes is famous for not having the nicest gen 1 body styles… I.e. the very first ML was hideous . I am interested in the electric and the hyperscreen but the body shape just does not say luxury or even class to my palate .. will the next generation be a bit less aerodynamic? Or if it is, will it still be more stylish….Or is this really the future of MB luxury electric

I think you are thinking right. This first gen design has a lot of room for improvement. The ML is a good analogy. Another good example is the Porsche Panamera where they tried to design a 911-like aerodynamic sports sedan, and didn't get it right. The second gen had a similar overall silhouette/concept but they tweaked the design in a way that made it a lot more stylish.

No one will know until the next gen is spied which won't be for another 7-years. I imagine as battery technology and efficiency improves the car won't have to be designed as strictly for a wind tunnel.

Seeing it in person and/or on the road really helps if you're on the fence. It has a very impressive and sleek stance. It all "comes together" and makes more sense design-wise when seen in real life.

I am thinking of a fully optioned EQS AMG. If I pull the trigger for next year's model, I will not accept deletions... I will wait for availability... it will be the first time I checked all the boxes, so I would like to get what I check.

Hoping that next Years fancy doors will be sorted out... a must have for me
