For a little more transparency...I'm driving up from Southern California to test drive the Lucid Air.. I'd like to find a local MB dealership to also test drive the EQS. And then drive back to Southern California. I'm really going back and forth between these two EVs....and need to drive them to make a final decision.

The price of the EQS around here is between $112k to $120K. I don't know about the Lucid Air. I guess it could be around that price or even more. You should also try out the Audi GT E-tron which will be in the same price range ( only 220 mile range, I think). For me, I would wait for the EQE. My price range is $55k to $65k. I also want 350-400 mile range. If you are going for a high tech car, get the most out of it. JMHO.

I drove to San Ramon on Saturday to test drive an EQS. I am also considering Lucid Air. I currently drive an 2019 S class, and I have been driving an S class (a new one every 3 years) since 2009. As a long term S class, driver, I had a lot of expectations from EQS. Most of my expectations were met: EQS is luxurious, fast, comfortable and did I say fast!!! However, a few things bothered me: most disappointing is exterior styling. My second complaint are the touch controls: they don’t feel as substantial and pleasant to operate as buttons on my current car.
Overall, I liked the car but I was not in love with it. I decided against Lucid on my drive back home, I am mostly concerned with the quality from a brand new car manufacturer. I will be getting a 2022 EQS or 2022 S580 in the next few weeks.
