Official statement from the CEO.

No it will be a smaller G-Wagon by his words, and even appears to tease a rear-mounted spare. No clue what it will look like or whether it will be a 2 or 4-door. The GLB is getting its own successor on the MMA platform which was teased above in the previous post's photo. Based on the fact that the electric GLA successor has been spotted, the electric GLB will also likely be out before the smaller electric G. It seems to still be very early stages of development.

Wow it looks like this segment is crowded. And GLB, EQB, GLC, g-Wagon they are all similar sized and will compete against each other.

It sure is, there is a video of someone interviewing two designers (the one in charge of this concept's exterior design and the one in charge of the interior) some elements such as paper material used in some areas is making it over to the production version.

It's not like lightweight cars couldn't be built before using carbon fiber etc., but it was just very very expensive.

I take this as what the Hyperscreen was supposed to look like from the beginning. I went to the EQS test drive event a couple of weeks ago, and the girl that rode with me said her friend was actually the lead developer on the Hyperscreen, and they wanted it to be one single screen like this, but at the time was technically not quite feasible yet, so they settled on the three screens. Looks like they've now overcome the technical obstacles they were facing and made it a single screen. I was personally not impressed by the Hyperscreen to be honest. The rake is quite odd. This looks more like it.
I am quoting this post because we finally have a production version of this version 2 of the hyperscreen: https://www.topgear.com/car-news/fir...w-electric-cla

this CLA version looks nicer but still 3 screens.

one day it will be one screen, and before that, any setup is ugly.

that's why the G-Klasse will not get the hyper super screens.

The G-wagen is the cash cow, they won't mess with that.

Looks like we are finally getting the true hyperscreen, production model, in the GLC EV. Truly one full screen instead of 3 seperate ones https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod...b3286c372f.jpg

What is interesting is that it is a 2027 model, announced in 2025. So if Europe gets it in late 2026 (?) as a 2027 model. US will have to wait till late 2027 as a 2028 model?
