Apple CarPlay and integrated nav at the same time

Agreed. I've found that one of the only useful parts of the car's Nav system is the map graphic projected onto your HUD. That and charging availability. Other than that I still use CarPlay 95% of the time.

I completely agree! The map graphic projected onto the head-up display (HUD) in the car is one of the most helpful features of the car's navigation system. It provides a convenient and easy-to-read visual representation of the route. Another useful aspect is being able to check charging availability for electric vehicles. However, in my experience, I still rely on CarPlay for the majority of my navigation needs. It offers a familiar and seamless integration with my smartphone, allowing me to access a wider range of apps and features.

I have been using Google Maps and Waze exclusively for the last 3 years or so, I travel a lot and drive around a lot every day, I haven't seen any "major flaws". The only issue is connectivity, if you have no cell service then you have no Google Maps or Waze, but those rare instances have been the only times I have felt there was any reason to use the onboard GPS.
