EQS450+ finally coming in 4MATIC.
MBUSA told dealers Friday that there will be a 450+ 4MATIC coming in the summer time around June. And it will be replacing the in production 2WD model.

Interesting if true, I would wonder of they're going with a much smaller half size rear motor and one up front, and feel as though that would be much more to build then a RWD single motor car. They might have to though because the 450+ has been such a slow seller in weathery areas.

Will likely be a 580 essentially with a different power tune.
This news is very important as EQS 450+'s have been struggling on the East Coast and other Colder Regions as buyers simply do not want RWD.

I am not surprised by this report. I was expecting it. Makes total sense. The 350 is the rear drive model.
I also expect that after a year or two the AMG will be upgraded to triple motor 63 spec.

I've understood MB wants to have different e-motor technology in front and rear. One a permanent magnet type, the other one not. The "not" can float without any resistance when no power is needed making the car more efficient on the road. Don't know if the 580 works this way.

Thanks for posting. Not sure I fully understand the dealer lingo, but it sounds like the shift is happening starting with March production? RWD no longer offered right?
