Did someone installed 19 inch wheel with TPMS for winter use on 450 or 580 . I saw that in Germany 19 inch wheels are available on new EQS ,
I have a 580 with 21 inch wheels , not a good choice for winter driving in Canada

Hi Marco,

I have a EQS580 in the US Midwest and purchased 19” AMG EQS wheels from Germany. Including shipping and import total cost for these wheels was ~ $4K USD plus tires. Send me a PM for details. These are the wheels used by MB to achieve the highest range with the EQS (770km WLTP). On winter tires and a sub zero Celsius, I am closer to 500km.

Can you provide what tire six that you installed? Thank you! On my second tire after two blowouts on 21 inch rims in the Northeast winter.

I mounted the following Mercedes OE Winter Tires.

4 x Pirelli Scorpion Winter Tires 235/55R19 delivered, mounted and balanced to 4 new wheels

Mercedes offered an all inclusive tire+mount+balance package for $1,241.31 (set of 4)

The tires are OK for snow/cold but will reduce your range by about 10-12% (higher friction)

I am looking at the Michelin X-Ice -
have had a lot of success with these tires even in some ice storms/sleet. Totally fine with the reduction in range as long as the tire doesn’t explode like one did with the 21s. Thank you again!!!

Is it a tire issue or are you driving in winter conditions with high performance summer tires?

Just to let you know , here in Quebec Canada , witer tires are mandatory from December to March
Finaly chose 20 inch replica wheels with Pirelli scorpion winter tires , got TPMS from E-bay in germany ,

Thanks for the info, ouch! Been 5 months since I ordered, still no allocation, EQS580 all season tires.

I also ordered my EQS580 with all season tires. Mine has been at Baltimore (VPC) since April 3. It should be any day now when it’s placed on a truck on the way to my dealer. The general manager is guessing that they may be waiting for a chip before it’s finally shipped to the dealer.

I read online from a German Blogger that the EQS580 cars are pretty much shut down because of the chip shortage (3rd or 4th quarter should improve), God only knows how many of those little buggers are needed for that Hyper screen? That's probably why you see far more 450+ out there, no Hyper screen. They have two choices, either hold the car and wait for the chips to get whatever system up or if it's not a real important standard feature just eliminate it and credit back to the customer. If that happens the customer has the right to not accept the vehicle, I see quite a few cars missing standard equipment on dealer sites? I hope for your sake you get all the equipment that supposed to come with the car!.

Unfortunately, came with the high performance summer tires and we had some freak snow and ice storms right after delivery at the end of March. It came with 21 inch rims and the high performance summer tires and one of the tires pretty much exploded day two of having the car.
