One week impressions
The more I drive this car the more I like it. To summarize: Take an S class, remove all sound, give it better handling and acceleration and this is what you get: a better S class renamed EQS that requires no gas and aces all EV criteria. This is an extraordinary car in all respects. BTW no one sitting in the rear has anything to say other than its fabulous and that's without the pinnacle level, the tallest was a 6 footer.
No Shaquille O'Neal will NOT be comfortable on the rear, luckily, he's not in my circle of friends. Its not a car that edges you to drive it in the Nurburgring, but will do so quite well if you wish. In fact, its a car that loves to drive smoothly at any speed. It can get to 60 in less than 4 seconds all day, but, why? Its so wasteful.... Its pure driving bliss, I love how a reviewer put it; its like sitting in a pot of honey on top of a cloud. He forgot one part, switch on the Burmester and you can add a choir of angels! Truly exceptional. Finally, to all the exterior design naysayers, I can't park this car anywhere that someone doesn't have a "wow what a ride" comment. It spark's more positive comments than my E43 ever did which got quite a few. Everyone loves designo matte paint, its a pity that Hyundai now offers its version on the Ionic 5.....it will become a little "less unique".
