ChargePoint bill for EA service!

A very weird thing just happened to me.
After charging my car at an EA station, I received a bill in my email from ChargePoint for $4.20. The ChargePoint bill even listed the address of the charging station, which is the EA station I was at.
While I do have a CP account, I've not yet used any of their stations.
Called CP and the guy on the phone was clueless. A ticket was created, though.

Let us know what they find out. Did you by chance go over your free 30 minutes?

I have always received a bill from Chargepoint after using an EA station. The bill has always been $0 because I went under the 30mins of free charging. The $4.20 most likely means that you went over the 30mins.
I don't see the big deal unless you did not go over 30mins.

Chargepoint is the partner that Mercedes uses for Mercedes Me Charging (plug and charge). Even for EA stations. If you get a bill from Chargepoint after an EA station that isn't $0 then it's probably because there was an error with your free 30 minute session or you went over the time limit. It can be finicky.

Thanks for all the replies.
Agree that it's not a big deal.
Yes, I put the car on ECO charge and was over by 3 minutes.
Just found it weird that CP got paid but EA did the work.
And still haven't heard from CP!

Chargepoint is pretty useless from my experience. EA support is slightly more useful. I wouldn't bother with Eco charge personally. I use it at home since it's the fastest way to set the charge limit but that's about it.

I haven't run into this yet, but have to ask. I had to attach a CC to my Mercedes Me Charge account for the EA to work. So assuming everyone had to do the same, why would you get a bill and not just a charge for the overage? On top of that, when I used the EA charge for 30 minutes it shows the cost to be under $10 so a charge of $4 for a slight overage seems really high.

It did go to my CC automatically. The total cost for my 34 min session was $24.94

WOW. That's the highest I've seen. Could you share the location of this charger?

Ive only used fast charging twice (EA both times). Both times my car was not recognized so I had to use my credit card. I called EA and I was credited the charges.
