Dashcam Available to Buy ... but not
I was excited to see that the Dashcam option was available for purchase in the "Safety and Service" list of services, but after entering my VIN, it doesn't appear that the service is available in the store, yet. Anyone seeing anything different?

The dashcam is not yet available to buy in the store. MBUSA said "post store launch", so it should show up at some point!
It's an optional addon feature. You can purchase it through the store if it wasn't added to the build at the factory.

Do you know how to setup the dash cam. I also ordered it with the car, but the dealer didn't explain it during the delivery walkthrough. She didn't know how to use it and also said I would need a USB stick.

Thanks for pointing out it's available... $200 per year, ugh. Reading over the description, it still sounds like you have to manually activate recordings... they sell it more as a way of saving nice drives, not a form of vehicle safety or security. If I have to manually record, for $200 a year, I think I would rather pay someone to wire in a dedicated dashcam. I should contact my dealer and see if I can get a refund if I am not happy with the service.

Dashcam does NOT need to be manually activated every time you start. There is an option in the app to enable continuous recording with a USB C memory stick. It starts automatically when you press the START button and then records 2 minute segments until the memory stick is full and then erases the oldest video. It also auto records if you are bumped while parked and sends you a text that your car was disturbed. There is also an individual recording mode that will record continuously if you are on a scenic route you wish to save.

The Dashcam and collision monitor is very sensitive. I park my car next to my jet at the FBO and they normally move it before I leave, but one time the car sat for awhile and another aircraft blasted my car with jet blast which set off the alarm and a text message. The dashcam took multiple pictures around the car but there was no issue so they eventually were deleted.

That $200 for one year has to be a mistake. I ordered it on my car for $200 and I would be bulls**t if after the fact I had to pay $200 each year. And I’m glad to see it automatically records now, instead of having to manually start it each time. I have an aftermarket camera in my S560 now and other than the camera sticking on the windshield, it works really well. I wanted something similar but built in using the cars surround cameras.

It will only record from the front camera mounted behind the rearview mirror, not the surround cameras.
I had some issues with the loop recording starting back up after stopping the car. I still need to work that out. I think you have to do more than start the car and put it in gear, but you also have to move a certain distance before the loop recording begins again. Also, I stopped the recording, ejected the drive and restarted the loop recording, but after turning off the car to charge and restarting the car, the loop recording didn't continue. Maybe that's because of the manual stop. I will see if it restarts when I take the car out tomorrow.
I am curious to know what other people have experienced, so far.
