I certainly hope that won’t be the case with my car. My 580 is scheduled to be built next week on the 27th. I will keep the forum informed of the status of my car. Oh well, I’ve waited since 1 June 2021, so what’s another month.
Just spoke with my salesman. My car was built yesterday. It’s a 2023 model. No price yet. Awaiting a ship assignment

MB can still hold a car (waiting for parts, software, etc) even when it is in B7 status (at port no ship assigned). I have seen a couple of cars in my inventory be held a couple months in B7 status waiting for parts. Have your dealer call the MB distribution line and ask the detailed status on the car.

Cars can sit in Germany from a few days to 2 or more months. There is no rymn or reason for a particular car. Mine sat there for 2 months with no explanation.

I was at my dealership and asked the sales manager the status of my car built several days ago. I’m not sure what the codes mean, but was told my car is B7 and all was well, and was at port awaiting ship assignment.

I was on the same boat where my EQS 580 was waiting at the port. I heard over the weekend from my dealer that my EQS is on the water on the way and should arrive on 28th to LA VPC. On the final build sheet, I got credit for 'D6M Hands-Free Access Features Not O CREDITnal $-100'. It appears that Hands-Free Access is omitted because of chip shortages.
