will pick up car in a week. What to have done prior to driving away
2. Have the sales guy help you set up your registration with ChargePoint/MercedesMe, mine led me through the steps to register my account, activating my MercedesMe charge card and link my account to my credit card. You cannot charge using the little RFID card they give you until this is completed.
3. Get a tour of MBUX and all that it offers and does, if you are not familiar with it.
4. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
I picked up my Cardinal Red 450+ last December 27th, and have enjoyed every moment of my some 2,000 miles driving it around my hilly, curvy home town and up and down the local highways between my home and the dealer, about 71 miles away. I am 90 years old; due to recent illness, I haven't driven it in a month, but have been riding with family driving. I look forward to being behind the wheel again ASAP, especially since we just installed new CocoMats, black, with red diamonds. Stunning!
Several car fanatics of my family, one with a Taycan, have driven my car with great pleasure.
To minimize my EQS investment, (with an Emerald green '18 S560, c25,000 miles parked in the same garage here at home), I bought the lowest priced trim 450. The only extras I bought were the high capacity air filtration, seats, the Cardinal paint, and a M B dealer protection paint application;
Although this trim excludes several S class amenities, we're very happy.with the car. My wife says it's the best car we have ever bought!
I do have such a trip planned next month and see I will have to visit several chargers. My (small) phone and my (larger) tablet are both linked to the car with Bluetooth. My phone has internet and can play movies from streaming or memory. My Tablet is larger, but has no internet. I can still load many movies to the memory card, watch them on the screen and hear the sound through the car stereo. That is my plan for long trips, watch movies on my Tablet while waiting at the charger.
I am really liking the car, I hope you do too!
However, despite that, I couldn't charge at EA stations for like 2 weeks before MB could fix the problem.
This was back in April, and many had same experience.
Hopefully, by now, the process has worked out the kinks.
If not, call the 800 number.

If you are learning the screens and function while parked in the garage, be sure to leave the door open to prevent carbon monoxide build up. ....oh wait, no need.

After you press Start, wait about 30 seconds for the oil to circulate before putting the car in gear. ....oh wait, no need.

Seriously, there will be a little "getting used to" period, but you will like it!
