When I picked up my EQS 580 about 10 days ago (after a 7-month wait), it was delivered without 3 of the items on this list -- Air Balance fragrance function, 110V home cable, and Auto Comfort Doors. I arrived for delivery without any prior notice from the dealer that these 3 items were excluded from my build. The dealer would not sell the car without 1) me paying the $7K+ MSRP increase after my order was submitted, and 2) me paying the full price for the car with zero credit for the missing equipment. Truly, "take it or leave it". In my case, I was essentially forced to "take it" so I did. HOWEVER -- if all of the other items that are now showing up as build exception had been missing from my car had been missing (rear axle steering, ventilated seats, AMG exterior package in particular), I would have HAD to walk away even without having a plan B. Thoughts?
It’s been known for many months that the auto comfort doors would not be available (almost a year) due to chip shortage. Also, it was stated quite a while ago that the air fragrance system would be missing for the same reason. As far as the 110 volt charging cable is concerned, you’re not missing anything. It’s basically worthless.
Did you have those items listed on your build sheet with no credit for missing? Or were they just not on the build sheet? If they weren’t on it, that’s your credit - the cost was taken out.
