Anyone following my other thread on the dashcam knows I have been having issues with the new Mercedes Me app store after market option. I took my car in today and they said my car shouldn't have the option to auto record but others have demonstrated that they do have the function - but I don't know if those were all 580 owners - why limit that to just 580, though. They said there was no firmware update available. I don't trust them on this.
I am wondering if anyone else has a 450+ with Hyperscreen and the dashcam that allows auto loop recording. If you do, could you please share your firmware version from Settings->Info->System Information.
I'm an EQS 450+ owner without hyperscreen but I was able to purchase the dashcam without any difficulty. It worked without needing a dealer software update or anything. Sorry that I can't help you out more.
I had something more strange with my dashcam.
When I received the car, the dashcam was auto-on (loop recording).
Now, one day later, the dashcam will not autostart anymore.
They only thing the could be related is that I created a profile in meantime. No way to get the dashcam auto-start (what is in fact very bad, since I'm sure to forget to turn in manually on in the future).
Okay so we do have the same firmware versions, yet somehow you have the settings "gear" button in the dashcam app, the one that lets you enable automatic loop recording? Or has it just been working automatically for you so far, but you don't see the settings button?

Thats an old version of MBUX. This is the latest version. I have an EQS450+ with the hyperscreen.
