Those of you who ordered from Germany from actual production to port delivery in the U.S. what was your time frame? My EQS has finished production in Germany but has not shipped and I was wondering the time until it hits port here in the U.S.? I realize any answers will be a guess in my case as conditions in freighting appear to change weekly these days….

If I remember correctly, mine took about 1.5 months from production to Baltimore. Then, it took another couple weeks I think until it arrived at the dealer.

To the best of my knowledge, it was made in mid-June and I took delivery in early August (in CT)

I am probably the poster boy for the longest delay. Production was October 24, 2021 with final delivery March 3 2022. Car sat in sindelfingen for months and finally got to the port to wait again. Never a word from MB about the delay even though the dealer tried to find out the issue.

My car reached VPC. Is there a way to track the status without bugging the dealer daily?

After starting this subject I did some reading and asking some salesmen at a local MB dealership. Consensus was that time spent at VPC is variable depending on logistics of cars in and cars out, how little or much prep a car takes before shipping to dealership and finally how soon a larger freight company down to a independent that can only haul 5 cars is heading to your dealership area. Right now shipping is a sh*t show and carriers are hard to find.

At least your car is here in the U.S. so you are on the final leg. Mine finished production in Germany a month ago and no word on any shipping time frame at all. I may end up with a 2022 delivered in 2023….😩

Mine took about month and a half from getting to the dock to getting on the ship. So you are close.

Do you have a vin number? Mine was produced on 20 July and is a 23 580 model. It sat at the German port for a month. I was also concerned after waiting over a year for my car it would be one of the last 22’s made. Fortunately I have the vin and it definitely is a 23 model.

Yes, I have the VIN. What letters or numbers state the year model?

I googled VIN decoders and put my vin in and found it was a 23 model.

My car carrier finally arrived at the Baltimore port this am, but I see it moored across the river from the Mercedes VPC. I guess its unloading other brands of cars and hopefully will make the switch right across the river to the Mercedes side soon, Car was produced on 20 July.

Could you google your VIN and find the model year?

If the 10th digit is a p, it's a 2023, if it's an n its a 2022.

Can things get more screwed up? Was told 3 weeks ago car finally got on ship heading towards Baltimore. I tracked ship and it arrived in Baltimore about a week ago and eventually docked at Mercedes’ VPC and left Baltimore 2 days ago. Was just told according to Netstar car just checked in to VPC in Los Angeles. And Netstar says it was on a different ship than what I was originally told, but that ship was on east coast so impossible for car to be in LA. Dealer called around and said not sure where car is but don’t think it’s in L A. But someone said could be a hold put on car for a couple of months since it’s a 23 model. I know it’s not dealer’s fault but I’m going in today and give them a piece of my mind. Been waiting since June 2021.

We all know your frustration and yes it is not the dealerships fault. Mine has now been 6 weeks since production and no word on shipping yet….

Hey bregwal I hope you are having a good day. My cla 45 is at bremhaven port. It’s been sitting there for about 8 days. When you do think I will pick this car up from the dealership. It’s at Germany as of now.

Apparently the tracking computers for Mercedes worldwide are really messed up and even giving false information. The dealership I ordered my ESQ through said they don’t even know where any cars are located or when they will arrive.
