EQS outside A/C noise
My EQS makes a lot of outside noise when the A/C is running. You can also hear some noise with a little vibration inside as well. I'm not sure if this is due to the HEPA filter or not, but it seems louder than it should. It's been pretty hot in CA lately, but the air quality isn't bad. Is this normal?

It can get pretty loud outside. But its not the AC fan its the battery cooling system. If its hot enough it will also run when the car is off. You will also hear full tilt when charging on a fast DC charger.
You should barely hear it inside. When the AC fan is at full speed it can be also quite "sonorous". In really hot conditions they both will run at the same time. If you want to have utter silence when you get in the car on very hot conditions use the pre-entry conditioning if you set it to15 minutes pre entry. When you get there the car will be a temple of silence at perfect temp. It will however cost a little range in the process unless its plugged in.

I also notice what sounds(outside) like a motor when in D or R with the car not moving. The sounds stops when placed in N. Any ideas?

You can simply disconect the front and rear bumper mounted speakers. Which is not recommended and illegal since that noise is mandated. I really dont see the issue since its completely unheard with the windows up. The reverse Beep Beep is still audible though. If you disconect the speakers the beep is also eliminated.

That is the inside sound that comes from the radio. The outside is unaffected.
Stand outside while someone reverses the car for you.

Here in Texas, the Tesla battery fan ran, it seemed, all the time because we don't have a Mediterranian climate. Even in the garage it ran. The EQS not so much but it's been a lot cooler the last two weeks here. Just in the lower 90's..
. So if it runs a lot, then that means the battery is draining which in turn means I have to plug the car in and use more electricity.

That battery cooling fan running when 'it's too hot' is a bit of wonderment for me.

I had the same problem on my EQS580 (noise and vibration inside) its the AC compressor, you can turn off the AC and the noise/vibration goes away..... looks like this is only a problem when the temp outside is above 100F and you set a differential temp inside of 20 degrees or more
Dealer said it is normal given where the compressor is mounted, etc, etc
