Incredible range

I charged my 2025 EQS 580 to 80% 16 days ago. If I were to now charge it to 100% the reading says 514 miles. I’ve done a lot of city driving in 16 days and a little interstate driving. I still have 24% charge left. It’s true that I haven’t been driving like a maniac but not like a 100 year old grandmother either. The outside temperatures have generally been in the upper 70s and 80s.

Would love to see a youtuber do a run to dead range test on the new battery pack.

Seems normal if a bit high. My range with mostly freeway driving is ~300 miles but I’ve seen up to ~430 miles in a mix around town in my ‘23 580 SUV.

I’ve never heard of anyone getting this kind of range. It’s been 17 days now since I charged the car to 80% and I still have 23% left.

Its a very optimistic estimate. I've had it before. Take it on the highway at 75 and the estimates will get more "rational".
BTW the Insight program that tracks my battery capacity states that I have 98% of my original range after 60k miles! Awesome!

For the most part, on the interstate, my speed was between 65 and 70. I admit that most of my driving has been in the city. In any case, I think this is fantastic.

I also have a 2023 580 SUV. With mostly freeway driving, I typically get around 290 miles (down from about 300 miles after I switched to run-flat tires). I've never come even remotely close to 430 miles.

Sorry for the duplicate photo above. I can’t seem to delete one.
In any case, I finally charged it again late yesterday to 80% with 23% charge left. The photo shows that I would get 513 miles if I were to charge it to 100%. The highest range I witnessed was 516 miles a couple days ago.

City driving gives you many opportunities for recuperation. You will get much better range with start stop city driving that on long distance freeway drives. I did get a similar range estimate on my EV once, but that was after a drive from about 2500 meters to sea level. I had almost the same charge at the end of the drive as I started with due to regeneration.

Temperatures make a big difference, my better ranges are always when it’s around 85F.

Yes of course city driving will result in higher range. I remind you that I have not been driving only in the city but I drove about 15% of the time on the interstate.

Absolutely true. I would say that if it’s above 75 you will get the highest range.

Do you have an EQS 580 SUV or an EQS 580 Sedan? The Sedan has a significantly larger range than the SUV (because it's much more aerodynamic).

So happy you are getting such phenomenal mileage. I had hoped that, as these cars evolve, this would be true. I suspect it will only get better with time, and I hope so. I may come back to an EQS in the future....but not the near future!

The solid state batteries coming in the near future will increase the range tremendously.

It's an amusing game to play. Report back when you actually get that range.

I’ll get over 500 miles on mostly city driving in the summer. I have no doubt. I have driven over 900 miles since I leased the car so I know this is not fiction. With the larger battery, heat pump, etc., my thinking is that I’ll get 380-400 miles of range in the winter.
